I never planned to be a writer.
For 24 years, I served as a Correction Officer at Huron Valley Women’s Prison in Michigan. I walked those halls every day, saw lives behind bars, and witnessed stories most people never hear. I saw the weight of choices, the pain of regret, and the power of faith when someone finally reached for it.
In 2020, I retired from law enforcement, closing a chapter of my life. But God wasn’t done with me yet. My purpose wasn’t just in serving within those prison walls—it was in using my voice to reach beyond them.
I had seen too much, learned too much, and carried too much wisdom to keep it all inside. That’s when I realized…
I wasn’t done serving. I was just getting started.
Writing was never about just putting words on a page. For me, it was about leaving something behind that mattered. A legacy of truth, faith, and transformation.
I write because people need real talk, real wisdom, and real faith—not just feel-good words that fade by morning. My books are meant to challenge, inspire, and equip. They’re not just stories; they’re tools for growth, reminders of hope, and proof that God never writes anyone off.
Through every chapter of my life, one thing has remained constant: God’s hand leading me forward. I am not just an author. I am God’s own daughter in Christ Jesus, called to share His wisdom, His grace, and His truth through the words He places in my heart.
I am also a wife, a mother, and a woman deeply rooted in faith. I have been blessed with a wonderful marriage to Michael G. Norris (Minister Norris G.), and together, we walk in our calling. Every Thursday at 9 PM, you’ll find us on W.M.K.M. 1440 AM, sharing the Word of God through our radio ministry, “Have Faith in God’s Ministries.”
Because this life? It’s not about what we build for ourselves. It’s about what we leave behind for others.
For me, writing isn’t about fame or fortune. It’s about impact. It’s about giving people something to hold onto when life feels unsteady. It’s about showing them that faith isn’t just a word—it’s a way of life.
If you’ve found your way here, it’s not by accident.
